Our client on this job had grave concerns about her deck collapsing and after temporary propping was installed structural engineering drawings were completed. The works then began to rebuild the upper-level deck. As demolition works continued with the tricky process of holding the upper storey roof from blowing away or it collapsing it was discovered the decking’s structural lower-level posts and main support beam were completely rotten. It was quite a dangerous deck to have been entertaining on.

We started the deck rebuild all over again with the use of modern treated timbers and steel lower posts with a few design tweaks for better drainage. The new deck looks a treat and is structurally sound with our client being very happy with the end result.
